  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to courts; requesting the supreme court to 
  1.3             study and make recommendations regarding tracking of 
  1.4             civil actions involving sexual abuse. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [TRACKING OF CIVIL ACTIONS INVOLVING SEXUAL 
  1.7   ABUSE.] 
  1.8      The supreme court is requested to study and make 
  1.9   recommendations regarding methods for tracking the filing and 
  1.10  status of civil actions for damages resulting from sexual abuse, 
  1.11  for purposes of identifying individuals who may be disqualified 
  1.12  from human services licensing under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.13  245A.  The supreme court is requested to report back to the 
  1.14  legislature by January 15, 2003, with the results of its study 
  1.15  and recommendations for implementation of a tracking system.
