A bill for an act
relating to liquor; providing a definition of beer; amending the definition of malt
liquor; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 340A.101, subdivisions 3a,
16, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 340A.101, subdivision 3a, is amended to read:

on-sale licenses and who manufactures fewer than 3,500 barrels of malt liquor in a year, at

as permitted in section 340A.24, subdivision 2.

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 340A.101, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

Sec. 3.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 340A.101, subdivision 16, is amended to read:


Subd. 16.

Malt liquor.

"Malt liquor" is any beer, ale, or other beverage made from malt

glucose, sugar, or molasses, that has not undergone distillation,
