  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to traffic regulations; requiring parked 
  1.3             vehicle to be parallel with curb; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 2000, section 169.35, subdivision 1. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 169.35, 
  1.7   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [PARALLEL TO CURB.] Except where angle 
  1.9   parking is permitted by local ordinance, each vehicle stopped or 
  1.10  parked upon a two-way roadway where there is an adjacent curb 
  1.11  shall be so stopped or parked parallel with the right-hand curb 
  1.12  and with the right-hand wheels of the vehicle parallel with and 
  1.13  within 12 inches of the right-hand curb, provided, that such 
  1.14  exception shall only apply to a state trunk highway after 
  1.15  approval by the commissioner.
