  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; restricting 
  1.3             recreational access to waterbodies; proposing coding 
  1.4             for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 86B. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [86B.127] [RECREATIONAL ACCESS RESTRICTED.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [DEFINITIONS.] (a) For the purposes of this 
  1.8   section, the terms used have the meanings given them. 
  1.9      (b) "Ordinary high water level" has the meaning given under 
  1.10  section 103G.005, subdivision 14. 
  1.11     (c) "Street or highway" has the meaning given under section 
  1.12  169.01, subdivision 29. 
  1.13     Subd. 2.  [RECREATIONAL ACCESS RESTRICTED.] Notwithstanding 
  1.14  any other law to the contrary, except in the case of a legally 
  1.15  established easement, no right of recreational access exists to 
  1.16  cross private land between a street or highway and the ordinary 
  1.17  high water level of a waterbasin or watercourse.
