  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to housing; manufactured homes; prohibiting 
  1.3             certain action based on age of resident's home; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 327C.10, by 
  1.5             adding a subdivision; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.6             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 327C. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 327C.10, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 5.  [AGE OF HOME.] In any action to recover 
  1.11  possession it shall be a defense that the action is 
  1.12  substantially motivated by the age of the resident's home and 
  1.13  not the condition of the home.  
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [327C.121] [TERMINATION; AGE OF HOME.] 
  1.15     A park owner may not seek to recover possession because of 
  1.16  the age of a resident's home.  This section does not abrogate 
  1.17  any other provisions of chapters 327C and 504B.
