  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; prohibiting the board of 
  1.3             regents from compelling 4-H chapters to comply with 
  1.4             certain human rights provisions; proposing coding for 
  1.5             new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 137. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [137.345] [4-H WORKERS.] 
  1.8      In hiring 4-H employees or engaging 4-H volunteers, the 
  1.9   board of regents shall not require 4-H chapters to (1) refrain 
  1.10  from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, or (2) 
  1.11  encourage or recruit individuals who are homosexual or bisexual.
