BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DAKOTA COUNTY FUTURE INTELLIGENT COMMUNITY
INITIATIVE.

new text begin $250,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2011 to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Dakota Future
to provide matching funds for eligible economic development and job creation projects
under the Dakota County future intelligent community initiative. To be eligible for
matching funds, a project must be able to demonstrate how it will increase the economic
competitiveness of, and job growth in, Dakota County and have secured nonpublic funding
commitments equal to at least 50 percent of the project costs.
