A bill for an act
relating to human services; modifying effective date of certain employment services
under disability waiver rate system; amending Laws 2017, First Special Session
chapter 6, article 1, section 24.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Laws 2017, First Special Session chapter 6, article 1, section 24, the effective
date, is amended to read:
(a)new text begin The amendments to paragraph (a) are effective January 1,
2018, except:

(1) the amendments to clauses (3), (21), and (22), which are effective January 1, 2019;

(2) the amendments to clauses (14), (15), and (16), which are effective January 1, 2020,
for persons whose rates are subject to banding under Minnesota Statutes, section 256B.4913,
subdivision 4a, paragraph (c), as of June 30, 2018, and are effective upon federal approval
for persons whose rates are not subject to banding under Minnesota Statutes, section
256B.4913, subdivision 4a, paragraph (c). The commissioner of human services shall notify
the revisor of statutes when federal approval is obtained; and

(3) the amendments to clause (10), which are effective the day following final enactment.

(b) The amendments to paragraph (d) are effective January 1, 2018, except the
amendments to clause (8), which are effective January 1, 2019.
