  1.2             relating to health; appropriating money for the birth 
  1.3             defect surveillance system project. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $60,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of health for the birth defect surveillance system 
  1.8   project being undertaken by the Laboratory of Environmental 
  1.9   Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota and the 
  1.10  Minnesota Center for Health Statistics, to be available for the 
  1.11  fiscal year ending June 30, 1997.
