  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to state trails; establishing a new trail in 
  1.3             Rice, Dakota, and Goodhue counties; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 1994, section 85.015, by adding a subdivision.
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 85.015, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 19.  [MILL TOWNS TRAIL; RICE, DAKOTA, AND GOODHUE 
  1.9   COUNTIES.] (a) The trail shall originate in the city of 
  1.10  Faribault and extend in a northeasterly direction through the 
  1.11  cities of Dundas, Northfield, and Randolph, to the city of 
  1.12  Cannon Falls.  The trail shall connect with the Sakatah Singing 
  1.13  Hills trail in Rice county and with the Cannon Valley joint 
  1.14  powers trail in Goodhue county. 
  1.15     (b) The trail shall be developed primarily for hiking and 
  1.16  riding.  Motorized vehicles, except snowmobiles, are prohibited 
  1.17  on the trail.
