A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; establishing requirements for a Metropolitan Council
transit service evaluation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin METROPOLITAN COUNCIL TRANSIT SERVICE EVALUATION.

new text begin In the Metropolitan Council's Network Next transit service evaluation project, the council
must include:

new text begin (1) an analysis of implementing arterial bus rapid transit service in a corridor that follows
marked Trunk Highway 65 in the cities of Columbia Heights and Fridley to 53rd Avenue,
and marked Trunk Highway 47 in the cities of Fridley and Spring Lake Park, that includes
recommendations for a service terminus location and general locations for transit stations
along the corridor; and

new text begin (2) evaluation of regular route bus services that connect suburb to suburb destinations.
