relating to public safety; establishing a grant program to fund emergency radio
console upgrades for emergency responders; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM CONSOLE UPGRADE
GRANT PROGRAM.

new text begin The Statewide Emergency Communication Board (SECT) shall administer a
program to provide grants to local emergency response agencies to pay for a portion of the
cost of upgrading emergency communication consoles required as a result of an ARMER
software update scheduled for May 2016.
