  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to liquor; authorizing Wadena to issue a 
  1.3             seasonal on-sale intoxicating liquor license. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [WADENA; SEASONAL LICENSE.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding any other law, the city of Wadena may issue 
  1.7   one seasonal on-sale intoxicating liquor license in addition to 
  1.8   the number of on-sale intoxicating liquor licenses authorized by 
  1.9   law.  The license authorized by this section is valid for a 
  1.10  period to be determined by the city, not to exceed nine months.  
  1.11  Not more than one license may be issued under this section for 
  1.12  any one premises during any consecutive 12-month period.  All 
  1.13  provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A, not inconsistent 
  1.14  with this section apply to the license. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective on approval by the Wadena city 
  1.17  council and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021.
