  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance of 
  1.3             certain surplus state land. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF SURPLUS STATE LAND; OLMSTED 
  1.6   COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 94.09 to 
  1.8   94.16, the commissioner of administration shall convey to the 
  1.9   city of Rochester for no consideration the surplus land that is 
  1.10  described in paragraph (c). 
  1.11     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.12  attorney general. 
  1.13     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Olmsted County 
  1.14  and is described as: 
  1.15     All that part of the Southwest Quarter and all that part of 
  1.16     the West Half of the Southeast Quarter, in Section 5, 
  1.17     Township 106 North, Range 13 West, Olmsted County, 
  1.18     Minnesota which lies south of Trunk Highway No. 14; also, 
  1.19     all that part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast 
  1.20     Quarter in Section 6, Township 106 North, Range 13 West, 
  1.21     Olmsted County, Minnesota which lies south of Trunk Highway 
  1.22     No. 14; containing in all approximately 175 acres. 
  1.23     (d) The commissioner has determined that the land is no 
  1.24  longer needed for any state purpose and that the state's land 
  2.1   management interests would best be served if the land was 
  2.2   conveyed to and used by the city of Rochester.
