  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; requiring the sale and 
  1.3             purchase of certain fire-suppression aircraft. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [FIRE SUPPRESSION AIRCRAFT.] 
  1.6      (a) The commissioner of natural resources must sell one 
  1.7   Bombardier Canadair CL215 fire-suppression aircraft by the end 
  1.8   of the 2004 state fire season. 
  1.9      (b) The commissioner of natural resources must buy two Air 
  1.10  Tractor 802 Fire Boss fire-suppression aircraft before the 
  1.11  beginning of the 2005 state fire season. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
