  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; modifying certain angling 
  1.3             and spearing seasons. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [FISHING SEASON FOR 1999-2000.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 97C.395, 
  1.7   subdivision 1, for the 1999-2000 fishing season, the open 
  1.8   angling season for walleye, sauger, northern pike, muskellunge, 
  1.9   largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass and the 1999-2000 spearing 
  1.10  season is the Saturday two weeks prior to the Saturday of 
  1.11  Memorial Day weekend 1999 to February 29, 2000. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
