A bill for an act
relating to environment; transferring and appropriating money for certain filtration
systems.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. TRANSFER AND APPROPRIATION; FILTRATION SYSTEMS FOR
PERFLUORINATED CHEMICALS.
$10,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 is transferred from the general fund to the remediation
fund. $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 is appropriated from the remediation fund to the
commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency for costs related to installing filtration systems
to remove perfluorinated chemical contaminants from polluted public and private supplies
of drinking water in the eastern metropolitan area.
