A bill for an act
relating to education finance; requiring a report on educational revenue and
expenditures by age and grade level.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

GRADE LEVEL.

new text begin The Office of Early Learning, the Minnesota
Department of Education, and the Office of Higher Education must jointly compile
data and report on all educational revenues and expenditures by age and grade level for
all children and young adults in Minnesota. By February 1, 2015, the Office of Early
Learning and the Minnesota Department of Education must submit the report to the
legislative committees and divisions with jurisdiction over kindergarten through grade
12 education and early education services.

new text begin The report must show the revenues from all sources and,
to the extent possible, show the data by each age and grade level. At a minimum, the data
must be broken into age ranges and grade levels of not more than three years or grades.
The report must cover persons from birth to age 22.
