A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for highway safety improvements
for pedestrian and bicycle trails in Dakota County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DAKOTA COUNTY PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE TRAILS;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the Metropolitan
Council for a grant to Dakota County for right-of-way acquisition and for predesign, design,
engineering, and construction of pedestrian safety-related improvements including safe
crossing of marked Trunk Highway 55 at the intersection of County State-Aid Highway 28
and County State-Aid Highway 63 in Dakota County. This appropriation includes money
for the Mendota to Lebanon Hills Greenway Crossing.
