  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to crime victims; appropriating money to the 
  1.3             commissioners of health and public safety for crime 
  1.4             victim service programs and crime and sexual violence 
  1.5             prevention efforts. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [CRIME VICTIM APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [CRIME VICTIM SERVICES 
  1.9   APPROPRIATION.] $1,270,575 is appropriated in fiscal year 2005 
  1.10  from the general fund to the commissioner of public safety to be 
  1.11  used for crime victim services for battered women, sexual 
  1.12  assault, general crime, and abused children's funding within the 
  1.13  Office of Justice Programs.  These funds shall be used for 
  1.14  disbursal to crime victims services providers to restore to 
  1.15  those activities funds reduced for fiscal year 2004.  This 
  1.16  appropriation is in addition to appropriations made for these 
  1.17  services in the 2003 legislative session and is available 
  1.18  through June 30, 2005. 
  1.19     Subd. 2.  [SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION 
  1.20  APPROPRIATION.] $1,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2005 
  1.21  from the general fund to the commissioner of health for 
  1.22  statewide sexual violence prevention efforts.  This 
  1.23  appropriation shall not be added to the base funding for crime 
  1.24  victim service funding. 
  1.25     Subd. 3.  [GENERAL CRIME PREVENTION.] $1,000,000 is 
  2.1   appropriated in fiscal year 2005 from the general fund to the 
  2.2   commissioner of health for general crime prevention efforts.  
  2.3   This appropriation shall not be added to the base for crime 
  2.4   victim service funding.
