  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Meeker county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; MEEKER COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, Meeker county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.10  land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.11  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.12  282. 
  1.13     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.14  attorney general.  
  1.15     (c) The land to be sold is located in Meeker county and is 
  1.16  described as: 
  1.17     Pt Southeast Quarter of Southeast Quarter (SE1/4 SE1/4) 
  1.18  beginning southeast corner Section 23, thence West 683.17 feet 
  1.19  to point of beginning, northwest 252.31 feet northwest 122 feet, 
  1.20  northeast 91 feet, southerly to south line Southeast Quarter of 
  1.21  Southeast Quarter (SE1/4 SE1/4), thence West 44 feet to point of 
  1.22  beginning.  Section 23, Township 120, Range 31 (PID 12-0213001). 
  1.23     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.24  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  1.25  returned to private ownership.
