  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; transportation 
  1.3             facility projects; appropriating money to be spent to 
  1.4             acquire and to better public land and buildings and 
  1.5             other public improvements of a capital nature. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7   Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.8      The sums in the column under "APPROPRIATIONS" are 
  1.9   appropriated from the bond proceeds fund, or another named fund, 
  1.10  to the state agencies or officials indicated, to be spent to 
  1.11  acquire and to better public land and buildings and other public 
  1.12  improvements of a capital nature, as specified in this act.

  1.16  TRANSPORTATION FACILITY PROJECTS 
  1.17  (a) Trunk Highway 
  1.18  Facility Projects                                    20,530,000
  1.19  $20,530,000 is appropriated from the 
  1.20  trunk highway fund. 
  1.21  (1) For construction documents, construction,
  1.22  furnishing, and equipping of Bemidji 
  1.23  headquarters building to replace the existing
  1.24  facility.  The new facility will house the district
  1.25  staff, support services, design, construction,
  1.26  right-of-way, materials engineering, maintenance,
  1.27  radio shop, inventory center, vehicle maintenance,
  1.28  vehicle storage, bridge maintenance, and building
  1.29  services                                              9,000,000
  1.30  (2) Repair, replace, construct, or develop
  1.31  additions to chemical and salt storage buildings
  1.32  at 29 department of transportation locations
  2.1   statewide                                             1,014,000
  2.2   (3) For schematic design, design
  2.3   development, construction documents, construction,
  2.4   furnishing, and equipping of an addition to the
  2.5   Rochester district office and state patrol center     1,260,000
  2.6   (4) Construct, furnish, and equip a new
  2.7   equipment storage building on a new site in
  2.8   Pipestone to replace the existing facility              520,000
  2.9   (5) Construct, furnish, and equip a new
  2.10  equipment storage building on a new site in
  2.11  Deer Lake to combine and replace existing
  2.12  operations at Togo and Effie                            644,000

  2.14  equipment storage building on a new site in 
  2.15  Rushford to replace the existing facility               663,000

  2.17  furnishing, and equipping of an addition to the 
  2.18  central services building at Fort Snelling for

  2.22  at Duluth, St. Cloud, Jordan, Fort Snelling,

  2.25  furnishing of an addition to the Garrison truck

  3.8   Statutes, section 16B.335.
  3.9   (b) Public Safety Project                             1,185,000
  3.10  $1,185,000 is appropriated from the 
  3.11  trunk highway fund for capital 
  3.12  improvements to license exam stations, 
  3.13  grounds, and facilities at Arden Hills, 
  3.14  Eagan, and Plymouth.
