  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to pollution remediation; providing for 
  1.3             priority in allocation of agricultural chemical 
  1.4             response and reimbursement account; appropriating 
  1.5             money.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $....... is appropriated to the commissioner of agriculture 
  1.9   from the agricultural chemical response and reimbursement 
  1.10  account in the agricultural fund established in Minnesota 
  1.11  Statutes, section 18E.03.  Notwithstanding any law to the 
  1.12  contrary, in allocating these funds, the commissioner of 
  1.13  agriculture shall give priority to reimbursements for surveying, 
  1.14  testing, and clean-up of industrial arsenic contamination of 
  1.15  soil in residential yards, grounds of buildings serving 
  1.16  children, and land used for purposes of community gardens. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
