  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to higher education; capital improvements; 
  1.3             appropriating money for remodeling and new 
  1.4             construction design at Lake Superior College. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $700,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the 
  1.8   board of trustees of the Minnesota state colleges and 
  1.9   universities for design of construction of a new addition for a 
  1.10  student services complex, multimedia classrooms and computer 
  1.11  labs, and remodeling of existing space at Lake Superior College 
  1.12  in Duluth. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.14     To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the 
  1.15  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 
  1.16  the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.17  amount up to $700,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with 
  1.18  the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.19  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.20  4 to 7. 
  1.21     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.22     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
