  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for 
  1.3             telecommunication access grants; amending Laws 1999, 
  1.4             chapter 241, article 4, section 27, subdivision 7. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Laws 1999, chapter 241, article 4, section 27, 
  1.7   subdivision 7, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 7.  [TELECOMMUNICATION ACCESS GRANTS.] (a) For 
  1.9   telecommunication access grants according to Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.10  section 125B.20: 
  1.11       $5,000,000     .....     2000 
  1.12       $15,000,000    .....     2001 
  1.13     (b) Any balance in the first year does not cancel but is 
  1.14  available in the second year.  This amount These amounts shall 
  1.15  not be included as part of the base for fiscal year 2002-2003.
