  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; capital improvements; 
  1.3             appropriating money for capital improvements at North 
  1.4             Hennepin community college; authorizing the issuance 
  1.5             of state bonds. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; NORTH HENNEPIN COMMUNITY 
  1.8   COLLEGE.] 
  1.9      (a) $11,300,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund 
  1.10  to the board of trustees of the Minnesota state colleges and 
  1.11  universities to design and construct capital improvements at 
  1.12  North Hennepin community college including remodeling and 
  1.13  expanding the instructional, laboratory, preparation, and 
  1.14  storage spaces in the science building. 
  1.15     (b) To provide the money appropriated under paragraph (a)  
  1.16  from the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on 
  1.17  request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state 
  1.18  in an amount up to $11,300,000 in the manner, on the terms, and 
  1.19  with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 
  1.20  16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article 
  1.21  XI, sections 4 to 7.
