A bill for an act
relating to capital improvement; modifying certain appropriations; amending
Laws 2005, chapter 20, article 1, section 23, subdivisions 11, 12.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Laws 2005, chapter 20, article 1, section 23, subdivision 11, is amended to
read:
Subd. 11.Redevelopment Account | 15,000,000 |
For purposes of the redevelopment account
created in Minnesota Statutes, section
116J.571.

counties of Ramsey and Anokanew text end for public
improvements deleted text begin for a commercial and

portions of County Road J located within
each county, including predesign and design,
the acquisition of interests in land, and the
repayment of loans the proceeds of which
were used for the public improvements. The
grants to the individual counties shall be
in amounts proportionate to the individual
counties' costs associated with the public
improvements.new text end This grant is exempt from the
requirements of Minnesota Statutes, sections
116J.572 to 116J.575.
$1,000,000 is for a grant to the city of
Willmar to pay part of the cost of acquiring
land for the city airport and to construct,
furnish, and equip hangars and a precision
lighting system at the airport.
$600,000 is for a grant to the city of Rushford
to acquire real property for, and to design,
construct, and renovate, furnish, and equip a
facility for the Institute of Nanotechnology.
Laws 2005, chapter 20, article 1, section 23, subdivision 12, is amended to read:
Subd. 12.Bioscience Development | 18,500,000 |
For grants to political subdivisions to
predesign, design,new text begin acquire,new text end construct, furnish,
and equip publicly owned infrastructure
required to support bioscience development
in this state.
$2,500,000 is for a grant to the city of
Worthington.
new text begin $14,000,000 cumulatively is for grants to the
counties of Ramsey and Anoka for public
improvements to the portion of County Road
J located within each county. This amount
may be used to repay loans the proceeds of
which were used for the public improvement.

improvements.
