relating to agriculture; establishing an educating tomorrow's sustainable food
producers pilot program; requiring a report; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin EDUCATING TOMORROW'S SUSTAINABLE FOOD PRODUCERS
PILOT PROGRAM.

new text begin $....... is appropriated in fiscal year 2015 from the general fund to the commissioner
of agriculture for a grant to the University of Minnesota Morris for the development and
implementation of a three-year sustainable food production degree pilot program. No later
than January 15, 2015, the commissioner must report to the legislative committees with
jurisdiction over agriculture finance and higher education on the status of the development
and implementation of the sustainable food production degree pilot program.
