  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money to 
  1.3             construct ring dikes. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of natural resources to award grants to private 
  1.8   landowners for the construction of ring dikes within the 1997 
  1.9   flood damage area.  The commissioner must provide standards and 
  1.10  qualification forms for awarding the grants.
