A bill for an act
relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of certain tax-forfeited land.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; ST. LOUIS COUNTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, or
other law to the contrary, St. Louis County shall sell the tax-forfeited land described in
paragraph (c) to the city of Virginia.

new text begin (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 282.04, subdivision 4, the county shall sell
the land to the city of Virginia for less than the appraised value, not to exceed $30,000.

southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and assuming the west
line to bear North 00 degrees 02 minutes 12 seconds East; thence North 23 degrees 50
minutes 20 seconds East along the westerly right-of-way line of the Duluth, Missabe and
Iron Range Railway 688.42 feet to a point on a nontangential curve the center of said curve
is North 81 degrees 56 minutes 34 seconds West radius of 742.02 feet; thence northerly

of 27 degrees 11 minutes 02 seconds; thence North 70 degrees 52 minutes 24 seconds
