  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; modifying the definition of 
  1.3             resident; amending Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 
  1.4             97A.015, subdivision 42. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 97A.015, 
  1.7   subdivision 42, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 42.  [RESIDENT.] "Resident" means:  (1) an individual 
  1.9   who is a citizen of the United States or a resident alien, and 
  1.10  has maintained a legal residence in the state at least the 
  1.11  immediately preceding 60 days; (2) a nonresident under the age 
  1.12  of 21 who is the child of a resident; (3) a domestic 
  1.13  corporation; or (4) a foreign corporation authorized to do 
  1.14  business in the state that has conducted a licensed business at 
  1.15  a location within the state for at least ten years.; or (5) a 
  1.16  member of the United States armed forces who is stationed in the 
  1.17  state, including a member of the commissioned corps of the 
  1.18  United States Public Health Service.
