A bill for an act
relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for additional demolition
costs at the Ah-Gwah-Ching Regional Treatment Center Campus; authorizing
the sale and issuance of state bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of human
services to prepare and develop a site, including demolition of buildings and infrastructure,
to implement the redevelopment and reuse of the Ah-Gwah-Ching Regional Treatment
Center Campus. If the property is sold or transferred to a local unit of government, the
unspent portion of this appropriation may be granted to a local unit of government that
acquires the campus for the purposes stated in this section. This amount is in addition to
the appropriation in Laws 2005, chapter 20, article 1, section 20, subdivision 3.

Sec. 2. new text begin BOND SALE.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the bond proceeds fund, the
commissioner of finance shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an amount up to $....... in
the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections
16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
