  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the grant-in-aid snowmobile trail system. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $600,000 in fiscal year 2002 and $600,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   2003 are appropriated to the commissioner of natural resources 
  1.8   from the snowmobile trails and enforcement account for the 
  1.9   grant-in-aid trail system.  The money is made available by the 
  1.10  increase to one percent in the unrefunded gas tax for snowmobile 
  1.11  activity.  This appropriation is in addition to the 
  1.12  appropriation made for this purpose under Laws 2001, First 
  1.13  Special Session chapter 2, section 5, subdivision 6. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     The appropriation for fiscal year 2002 is effective the day 
  1.16  following final enactment.  The appropriation for fiscal year 
  1.17  2003 is effective July 1, 2002.
