A bill for an act
 relating to retirement; adding the judicial branch to the state postretirement option
program; amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 43A.346, subdivision 1.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 43A.346, subdivision 1, is amended to
read:


Subdivision 1.

Definition.

For purposes of this section, "terminated state employee"
means a person who occupied a civil service position in the executive or legislative branch
of state government, new text begin the judicial branch, new text end the Minnesota State Retirement System, the
Public Employees Retirement Association, the Office of the Legislative Auditor, or a
person who was employed by the Metropolitan Council.
