  1.2             relating to towns; authorizing changing the name of 
  1.3             the township of Lake Edwards. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [NAME CHANGE.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding the petition requirements of Minnesota 
  1.7   Statutes, chapter 379, the Crow Wing county board may change the 
  1.8   name of the township of Lake Edwards to the township of Lake 
  1.9   Edward upon receipt of a resolution requesting the change from 
  1.10  the board of supervisors of the township of Lake Edwards.
