A bill for an act
relating to health; requiring legislative approval before the commissioner of
health can accept federal funds for purposes of establishing, implementing, or
maintaining a health-related surveillance system or registry.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 4.07, subdivision 3, the commissioner
of health shall not accept federal funds for the purposes of establishing, implementing, or
maintaining a health-related surveillance system or registry without the express authority
of the legislature.
