  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to traffic regulations; providing for a 
  1.3             maximum fine for certain speeding violations; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 169.14, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 169.14, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 13.  [MAXIMUM FINE.] Notwithstanding any other law, 
  1.10  the maximum penalty for a violation of a speed limit designated 
  1.11  under section 169.141 is $10 if the violation was committed 
  1.12  during daytime hours and no special hazard existed at the time 
  1.13  and place of the violation.
