  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to campaign finance; prohibiting tribes from 
  1.3             making certain contributions; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 1999 Supplement, section 10A.15, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1999 Supplement, section 
  1.8   10A.15, is amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 6.  [DERIVED FROM CASINOS.] An Indian tribe or a 
  1.10  political committee or political fund established by an Indian 
  1.11  tribe must not make a contribution to a candidate from funds 
  1.12  derived from the tribe's operation of a casino.
