  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to water; requiring the Department of Natural 
  1.3             Resources to obtain permits for construction 
  1.4             activities in watershed districts; amending Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes 2002, section 103D.345, by adding a 
  1.6             subdivision. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 103D.345, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 7.  [PERMIT REQUIREMENTS; DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL 
  1.11  RESOURCES.] A rule adopted by the managers that requires a 
  1.12  permit for an activity applies to Department of Natural 
  1.13  Resources construction projects. 
  1.14     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.15  following final enactment.
