  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to tax-forfeited lands; authorizing the 
  1.3             conveyance of certain tax-forfeited land in Faribault 
  1.4             county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND, FARIBAULT 
  1.7   COUNTY.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [CONVEYANCE.] (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota 
  1.9   Statutes, sections 92.45, 103F.535, and 282.018, and the sale 
  1.10  provision of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Faribault county 
  1.11  may convey to the city of Minnesota Lake without consideration 
  1.12  the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described 
  1.13  in subdivision 2.  
  1.14     (b) The county has determined that the property is needed 
  1.15  by the city of Minnesota Lake for street right-of-way.  
  1.16     (c) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.17  attorney general and must provide that the land reverts to the 
  1.18  state of Minnesota if not used for street purposes.  
  1.19     Subd. 2.  [DESCRIPTION.] The land that may be conveyed is 
  1.20  located in Faribault county and is described as:  
  1.21     Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Lot 4, Block 
  1.22     3, Nordaas Subdivision No. 3, as the same is platted and 
  1.23     recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Faribault 
  1.24     County, Minnesota; which point is 62.41 feet westerly from 
  1.25     the southeast corner of said Lot 4; 
  2.1      thence Easterly a distance of 62.41 feet, on the southerly 
  2.2      line of said Lot 4, to the southeast corner thereof; 
  2.3      thence Northerly a distance of 158.00 feet, on the easterly 
  2.4      lines of Lots 3 and 4 in said Subdivision; 
  2.5      thence Southwesterly a distance of 169.88 feet, to the 
  2.6      point of beginning; 
  2.7      being part of Lots 3 and 4, Nordaas Subdivision No. 3, and 
  2.8      containing 0.1132 acres more or less.  
  2.9      Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.10     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
