  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to highways; appropriating money to the 
  1.3             commissioner of transportation for a grant to 
  1.4             Shingobee township in Cass county for improvement of a 
  1.5             certain road. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $100,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of transportation for a grant to the town of 
  1.10  Shingobee in Cass county.  The town board shall use this grant 
  1.11  to improve a road within the town known as the Ah-Gwah-Ching 
  1.12  cutoff road.  The commissioner shall make this grant only if the 
  1.13  commissioner determines that the town board has made a 
  1.14  commitment to establish the road as a town road upon completion 
  1.15  of the improvement project. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.17     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1996.
