relating to clean water; appropriating money for subsurface sewage treatment
system grants.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; SUBSURFACE SEWAGE TREATMENT SYSTEM
GRANTS.

$5,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the clean water fund to the Board
of Water and Soil Resources for grants to counties to provide grants to low-income
landowners to cover up to 50 percent of the costs of addressing subsurface sewage treatment
systems that pose an imminent threat to public health or safety or that fail to protect
groundwater.
