  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing the 
  1.3             issuance of bonds to remodel a medical facility; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [FAMILY PRACTICE RESIDENCY PROGRAM FACILITY 
  1.7   CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] $1,500,000 is appropriated 
  1.9   from the bond proceeds fund to a city hospital the 
  1.10  establishment, administration, management, maintenance, 
  1.11  improvement, and financing of which is authorized under Laws 
  1.12  1994, chapter 471, to remodel a clinic building used by a family 
  1.13  practice residency program which places two-thirds of its 
  1.14  graduates in Minnesota communities outside the seven-county 
  1.15  metropolitan area. 
  1.16     Subd. 2.  [BONDS.] To provide the money appropriated by 
  1.17  this section from the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of 
  1.18  finance, on request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds 
  1.19  of the state in an amount up to $1,500,000 in the manner, on the 
  1.20  terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.21  sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.22  article XI, sections 4 to 7.
