  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to counties; Itasca; exempting the county 
  1.3             from certain bidding requirements on the sale of the 
  1.4             Itasca County Medical Center. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [EXEMPTION.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 373.01, or any 
  1.8   other law to the contrary, Itasca county is exempt from bidding 
  1.9   requirements in connection with the sale of the Itasca County 
  1.10  Medical Center.  
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.12     Under section 645.023, section 1 is effective without local 
  1.13  approval the day after its final enactment.
