A bill for an act
 relating to transit; requiring the Metropolitan Council to distribute federal funds
pursuant to a federal formula.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS; METROPOLITAN COUNCIL.

(a) The Metropolitan Council must distribute funds received from the Coronavirus
Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 (CRRSAA) according to
the urbanized area formula as provided in United States Code, title 49, section 5307.

(b) The Metropolitan Council must distribute any future federal funds received pursuant
to a federal coronavirus relief act according to the urbanized area formula as provided in
United States Code, title 49, section 5307.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective the day following final enactment.
