  1.2             relating to education; funding the state aid 
  1.3             deficiency in the interactive television program; 
  1.4             appropriating money; amending Laws 1997, First Special 
  1.5             Session chapter 4, article 9, section 12, subdivision 
  1.6             8. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Laws 1997, First Special Session chapter 4, 
  1.9   article 9, section 12, subdivision 8, is amended to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 8.  [INTERACTIVE TELEVISION (ITV) AID.] For 
  1.11  interactive television (ITV) aid under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.12  section 124.91, subdivision 5: 
  1.13       $4,030,000 $4,496,000    .....     1998
  1.14       $4,052,000 $5,856,000    .....     1999
  1.15     The 1998 appropriation includes $384,000 for 1997 and 
  1.16  $3,646,000 $4,112,000 for 1998. 
  1.17     The 1999 appropriation includes $405,000 $411,000 for 1998 
  1.18  and $3,647,000 $5,445,000 for 1999. 
  1.19     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
