A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money for the transportation
economic development infrastructure program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $1,800,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for the transportation economic
development infrastructure program under Minnesota Statutes, section 116J.436.
Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 116J.436, subdivision 3, funds must be used
for a grant to the city of Cambridge to fund ongoing development and improvement of
marked Trunk Highway 95 within the city of Cambridge, including economic development,
land acquisition and enhancements, safety improvements, design, engineering,
environmental studies, corridor mappings, right-of-way acquisitions, and associated
improvements. This is a onetime appropriation and any unspent funds do not lapse.
