relating to water; providing spending and reporting requirements for Rice Creek
Watershed District; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter
103D.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin For projects authorized under this chapter and chapters 103B and 103E that the Rice
Creek Watershed District undertakes, a minimum of 90 percent of the money collected in
Washington County through special assessments and ad valorem taxes must be spent on
projects in Washington County. The Rice Creek Watershed District must annually report
to the Washington County Board of Commissioners the amount of money the district
collected in Washington County through special assessments and ad valorem taxes and the
amount spent on projects undertaken in Washington County in the preceding year.
