A bill for an act
relating to public safety; requiring law enforcement
agencies that record bookings of individuals accused
of crimes to maintain the recordings for at least 30
days; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota
Statutes, chapter 629.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

electronic recording of the booking process in connection with
the arrest of a person, the agency must maintain the recording
for a minimum of 30 days after the date the person was booked.
