  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing a grant to 
  1.3             independent school district No. 417, Tracy; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $200,000 in fiscal year 2000 is appropriated from the 
  1.8   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.9   learning for a grant to independent school district No. 417, 
  1.10  Tracy, to reduce the impact of declining pupils.  This grant 
  1.11  shall be used to reduce the district's operating debt and shall 
  1.12  not be used to supplement district revenues or income for the 
  1.13  purposes of increasing the district's expenditures or budgets.
